There will likely be a free edition that can be used by anyone to test the software development kit.  This free version will not contain all of the source code that will ultimately be available in the licensed version.  Please note that the free version can't be used to create any commercial products.

NOTE: The Orion Engine SDK is not yet available to the general public.

We will probably release at least one product that uses the engine first, to prove that it in fact works. At this point we will then decide exactly how the SDK licensing will be handled. Currently, we are working on a game tentatively titled Been There.

There will likely be a free edition that can be used by anyone to test the software development kit. This free version will not contain all of the source code that will ultimately be available in the licensed version. Please note that the free version can't be used to create any commercial products.

See Licensing the Orion Engine SDK for more information.

More details will be posted here as they become available.
